- Generally the earlier you book, the cheaper the fare. Monarch reserves the right to reduce fares in response to market conditions. Refunds of fare difference are NOT permitted if the fare you booked has subsequently been reduced.
- Flights at peak traveling times e.g. school holidays, public holidays, Christmas…etc will normally be more expensive.
- Weekend flights are normally more expensive than midweek travel due to increased popularity.
- Children (under 12yrs) - a child fare is always the same as an adult fare.

taxes and charges
- Before you confirm your booking we will have shown you Monarch's published fare for the flight and, separately, the taxes, charges and fees imposed by Government or other authority which we are compelled to include in the total cost.
- Government or other authority may increase such taxes, charges or fees after you have made your booking and, if this happens, Monarch reserves the right to require you to pay the difference applicable to your booking.
- In the unlikely event of a decrease in such taxes, charges or fees you may request a refund of the difference but Monarch reserves the right to charge an administration fee for dealing with your request.

can I make changes to my booking on line?
Yes, to change the date of your booking please click here. Changes can also be made via our Reservations Centre on 08700 40 50 40. Name changes can only be made via our Reservations Centre.
where can I obtain an invoice for my flights?
This can be obtained from our administration department on 0901 029 2929 (25p per min, calls from mobiles and other networks may cost more).
I would like to change or cancel my booking.
Firstly, please check the fare rules associated with your booking. All our scheduled flights are non-refundable. To change the date of your booking online, click here. Or call our reservations team on 08700 40 50 40. If you have travel insurance please check with your travel insurance company to see if this is covered in your policy or not.
will I receive a ticket?
Monarch's scheduled flights are ticketless, so when you book (whether online, through our call centre or at a ticket desk in the airport) you will not receive a ticket. Instead, you will receive an itinerary that confirms the details of your booking, and gives you a booking reference. Please ensure that this itinerary, but particularly the booking reference, is presented at check-in.
Please note: If you book through a travel agent, you will most likely receive an itinerary and booking reference. However, some travel agents may still provide you with a traditional ticket that must be presented at check-in. Similarly, if you have any tickets from Monarch (this is generally the case if you booked you flights before December 2003), you must bring those tickets to check-in.
what options of payment do I have?
Only credit/debit card & PayPal payments are accepted. Unfortunately we cannot accept payment by cheque for any bookings (regardless of when you intend to travel).
