Hed Kandi in Ibiza

Ibiza is the centre of the worldwide clubbing community and home to the definitive Hed Kandi summer residency!

Hed Kandi venue: El Divino, Ibiza Town
Address: Puerto Ibiza Nueva, Carrer de Joan Carles I, Ibiza Town

It's really very simple; Saturday nights in Ibiza is all about Hed Kandi and Hed Kandi Ibiza means El Divino!

The home of Hed Kandi each and every summer Saturday night since 2003, El Divino is Ibiza's most exclusive club and Hed Kandi's international showpiece. Almost completely surrounded by water and situated right on Ibiza Town's harbour, all those who can afford to can literally turn up at the door on their very own billionaire's yacht! For clubbers with more modest means (ie. the rest of us) take the El Divino ferry boat across to the club from the opposite portside where all the main Ibiza Town pre-club bars are located, the ride certainly adds a great sense of anticipation to the evening ahead. El Divino is the perfect spot to admire the breathtaking views overlooking the marina and the Old Town, which, when illuminated, becomes almost magical.

Ibiza sunset

Enjoy VIP table service in the company of a host of visiting stars and starlets or choose to take a drink from one of the five bars around the air-conditioned club, an all important feature as the club does get incredibly busy, especially on Hed Kandi nights. El Divino also features a gourmet restaurant and the glamorous surroundings will ensure a truly unique and intimate experience for all. Hed Kandi at El Divino is a scintillating experience where the highest production values in clubland meet the world's most glamorous party people combining to create the very best party atmosphere on the planet!

Hed Kandi Ibiza 2008 runs weekly from 7th June to 27th September.

Hed Kandi pre-parties take place each Saturday in Ibiza Lounge (Ibiza Town) and at Savannah and Plastik in San Antonio. Check details on hedkandi.com for full event line-ups and news of some exclusive Hed Kandi Ibiza events throughout the summer!

Hed Kandi top tips for Ibiza

If Saturdays are all about Hed Kandi, then what to do during the rest of your stay? Ibiza is an island of plenty, with the richest club scene anywhere there's certainly no shortage of world-class club events to visit and it is probably fair to say that any DJ who doesn't play in Ibiza regularly isn't truly international class. But it's not all about clubbing, Ibiza is home to many of the beautiful people of the world and there are many beautiful experiences to enjoy.

Ibiza bars

Ibiza sunset

Bars are another vital ingredient to the Ibiza holiday experience. The concept of chill out was practically invented in the sunset bars along San Antonio's waterfront (on the west side of the island) and Cafe del Mar was the original.

Cafe Del Mar, Avda. Juan Carlos 1, San Antonio
Famous the world over for a series of chill out albums released annually since 1994, Cafe del Mar makes every sunset a unique experience. Imagine yourself stretched out on the beach with a cool cocktail, soaking up the warmth and watching the sun slowly sinking into the sea a DJ treat treats your ears to quite enchanting music.

Cafe Mambo, Calle Vaya de Rey 40, San Antonio
Situated on the same strip as Cafe del Mar, Mambo offers front row seats to a catwalk of beautiful party people. Home to many of the coolest pre-club parties, this cafe offers free sets from the most illustrious local and international DJ names plus live sessions all summer long. Cafe Mambo is most often the first bar Team Kandi heads to on its arrival in Ibiza!

Cafe Savannah, Carrer del General Balanzat 38, San Antonio
Another bar/restaurant along San Antonio's sunset strip, Savannah plays host to one of Hed Kandi's pre-parties, which usually kick off shortly after sunset on Saturdays. A great place to eat before the night's events begin, Hed Kandi has also been known to provide it's very own hair and make-up salon within the venue so all appearances can be maintained! Savannah is one of the pick-up points for the bus over to Ibiza Town on the other side of the island, where El Divino and Pacha are situated.

Plastik, Avda Doctor Fleming, San Antonio
Ibiza sunset Situated near to the Egg roundabout in San Antonio, Plastik has entered into Hed Kandi lore as one of the ultimate pre-party lounge bar spaces. On Saturdays, the pre-club event gets going around 10pm and it's become very much more than just a warm up! Hed Kandi Fact: one of the partners in Plastik is a lovely gentleman called Colin Butts. Colin also happens to be the author of seminal Ibiza tale, Is Harry On The Boat! Make sure you say hello to him when you're there!

Ibiza Lounge, Ibiza Town
If you want to pre-party VIP style then Ibiza Lounge is the place. With a gorgeous interior that features luxurious private rooms that even include wet room facilities, Ibiza Lounge is exactly where to indulge yourself! Listen to Hed Kandi DJs each Saturday night for the Ibiza Town warm-up to El Divino then hop aboard the ferry boat and cross the water to the club itself!

Base Bar, Carrer de Garijo, Ibiza Town
If Ibiza had a heart, this would be it! Situated on the hottest part of the hot strip in Ibiza town, Base Bar is the place to be if you are part of the music and club industry. From DJs to VIPs, you are bound to see a famous face here any night of the week. Enjoy a Caiprinha or two whilst listening to great music supplied by the resident DJs and surprise guests to get you in the mood for the long night ahead.

Aura, Ctra. Sant Jaun, km. 13,5, San Juan
It takes most bars, clubs and restaurants a long time to establish themselves in Ibiza, that is if they are not shut down as soon as they open! Aura burst on to the scene in 2005 and has set a new benchmark on the night life circuit; a full menu of entertainment throughout the night, starting from a relaxing drink early evening to dancing the night away till the early hours, with a little food thrown in between. Besides all that, Aura also exhibits paintings, sculptures and photography for the more cultured customer.

Underground, Carretera de Ibiza, San Antonio
Another one of Ibiza's best kept secrets, Underground is situated just a stone's throw away from Amnesia and Privilege. If you choose either to relax outside in the bar for a cocktail or party inside on the dance floor, with the trees and camouflage drapes you will feel at home in your very own little hide away. As Mr C is also one of the owners, regular guest DJ slots means the music isn't bad either!

Ibiza beaches

Ibiza street

Cala Benirras, North
Renowned for its majestic cliff formations and snorkelling, Benirras is the most spiritual beach on the White isle. The famous cliff point, Dedo de Dios - the Finger of God, is like a huge index finger rising out of the water and is the perfect sunset setting. The highlight of the week, however, has to be Sundays. From a few hippies gathering in the late afternoon, the beach becomes a buzzing spectacle of pyro-artsits, drums, guitars and campfires. Experience at least one Sunday here!

Cala Jondal, South
Escape the regular Ibizan sandy beach and travel south to this pebbled shoreline surrounded by lush greenery that offers a welcome shade. Cala Jondal boasts two excellent restaurants and perfect swimming conditions in the open sea, although flip flops or rubber shoes are recommended. Being one of the last conservation areas on the island, this small bay has kept its natural beauty and is one of Ibiza's best kept secrets.

Cala Salinas
For many Ibizan regulars, Salinas is the best beach on the island. Do not expect a chill out vibe though, as this beach is bustling with bars such as the Jockey Club and Malibu and their all-day party vibe. The beautiful sandy beach along with dune-like landscape and pine trees is the backdrop to this fun filled stretch that allows you to soak up the sun or ride the waves on a jet ski, while listening to one of the many DJs to grace the decks of the beachside bars.
